Cathy Oliver, LMP
Cathy has been a massage therapist since 2006.
She worked in Kalamazoo, Michigan before moving to the Seattle area. Because most of her school hours didn't transfer to Washington, she had to go to massage school again, so she's been through two massage programs! This has made her a more diverse practitioner, with a wider range of skills.
She loves to work on the neck and low back areas. She can often provide lots of relief in a short amount of time, including relief from headaches, hip and low back pain.
She has begun training to become a certified Craniosacral Therapist. This technique involves a very gentle touch in working with the fluid that surrounds the brain and spinal cord, as well as releases the connective tissue in the body. She also uses a combination of Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Trigger Point Therapy personalized to the clients’ needs.
Cathy likes to work with a variety of different clients and to help facilitate their healing. She gets really excited about seeing changes and making great improvement in her clients' health.
She plans on taking more classes on Craniosacral technique and learn techniques to help more people with headaches & jaw pain (TMJ disorders).
During massage school, she worked as a caregiver for the elderly. She is very kind and compassionate.
Cathy likes to knit/crochet/sew in her free time. She also wants to learn French and take Salsa dancing lessons.
She has two cats who are still unhappy with her for moving them from Michigan.
